The American YouTuber Nikocado Avocado has attracted attention for his extreme overweight over the last eight years. But recently the influencer shocked everyone by being seen in front of the camera in a thin form.

Nikocado Avocados shocks the YouTube landscape twice

Nikocado Avocado is a controversial YouTuber from the USA whose content was mainly known for his extreme body weight and exaggerated behavior. Many spectators watched his physical and psychological decline and some YouTube colleagues publicly made fun of him with their own videos. In general, Nikocado Avocado didn’t seem like a popular YouTuber, but he pulled the rug out from under everyone’s feet with his latest video.

The YouTuber Nikocado Avocado was actually an influencer who regularly discussed healthy eating and exercise in his videos. During his time as a YouTuber, he discovered the concept of mukbangs and uploaded more and more videos of this type to his YouTube channel.

Definition Mukbang: Mukbang is a trend from South Korea in which people film themselves eating various foods, usually large quantities. The intention is to combat the isolation of people. In many cultures, eating is a social act where you get together with family and friends. Mukbang was intended to bring this social experience home via the internet.

Nikocado Avocado originally only ate healthy food and also promoted the vegan diet. But over time, more and more sweet or unhealthy foods were added and it didn’t last long until the change in his diet also affected his body weight.

As his body weight grew, Nikocado Avocado’s personality also seemed to change. He began uploading videos of himself eating large amounts of food while acting like a whining toddler. For example, he would yell at his husband or cry in an exaggerated manner.

It was clear to viewers that the YouTuber was in some kind of self-hate phase. In several videos he complained that he had too much body weight and his physical condition was also causing him mental problems. At one point he weighed over 180 kilograms.

“It was the biggest social experiment of my life”

Am 7. September 2024 Nikocado Avocado then uploaded a video that shocked the entire US YouTube landscape. With the words “I’m always two steps ahead,” the YouTuber returned in his latest video and shows himself in a thin figure.

The contradictory: In his recently uploaded videos, the YouTuber was still overweight and the time span between his last and second to last videos was only seven months. A period during which it is impossible to lose more than 100 kilograms. So Nikocado must have planned this long beforehand.

He also confirmed it in his video. He claims the eight years were a “bad dream” while calling it “the greatest social experiment of my life.” He goes on to say that he has Videos pre-produced for two yearsto secretly lose weight and shock his viewers.

Why this “experiment” should still be viewed critically

Regardless of whether Nikocado Avocado really had this “master plan” to intentionally dupe the entire US YouTube landscape or not, his handling of extreme obesity should be viewed critically.

Both while he is overweight and after losing weight, he portrays it as something fundamentally bad. His portrayal takes on exaggerated proportions and takes the topic of body weight in a ridiculous direction. In a video from 2017, where he discusses and denounces his own weight gain for the first time, he shows obesity as something exclusively negative.

With his YouTube videos, Nikocado Avocado gives the impression that overweight people can lose weight just like that. There are many reasons why people can be overweight and why it is not possible for them to lose weight simply through conventional means. Through his exaggerated behavior, he automatically puts overweight or overweight people in a bad light. Statements like, “It was all just a bad dream” might upset people who are unable to lose weight the normal way, just through diet and exercise.

There has so far been no real reflection and explanation for the supposed experiment. Nikocado Avocado describes himself as a “villain” in his “comeback video” and suggests that he was only showing off his numerous viewers and their desire for sensation – and continues with Mukbang.
