Is YouTube preparing for the return of the function that allows you to sort channel videos from the oldest? In any case, this is what the appearance of this button suggests to some users, following it disappeared some time ago. For now, it appears that the option is still in the testing phase. When you discover a new YouTube channel, there are times when you want to discover more videos from the same creator. As long as the videographer in question hasn’t released hundreds of videos since their debut, you may want to view all of their content in order of publication. Only here, YouTube doesn’t make it easy for you. While it has long been possible to sort the videos in a channel chronologically starting with the oldest, YouTube removed this feature some time ago. The platform also claimed for a long time that this disappearance was due to a bug, without ever showing any sign of wanting to re-integrate it into its app, much to the great desperation of users. This Sorting Feature Could Soon Return to YouTube If you are one of the old followers of this sorting method, we have good news for you: YouTube might bring it back soon. In fact, many Reddit users have noticed that the Oldest tab has reappeared on some channels, allowing first videos posted by the creator to be viewed directly. This tab appears in version 18.23.35 of the Android and iOS app and doesn’t appear to be rolled out to the web version yet. Furthermore, it appears that not all users can access it, and that the tab is currently only shown on select channels. So at the moment it’s hard to say with certainty that YouTube actually intends to bring this feature back to the general public. Related articles
