YouTube is becoming more expensive for individuals and families. YouTube Premium used to cost 11.99 euros for a solo user and that will now go to 13.99 euros per month. Families will also have to dig much deeper into their pockets with a subscription price of 25.99 euros instead of the current 17.99 euros. This allows you to watch with five people living in one household at the same time.
The email from a reader reads: “To continue providing you with great service and features, we’re increasing your price to $25.99/month. We don’t make these decisions lightly, but this update will help us continue to improve Premium and support the creators and artists you watch on YouTube. You’ll see the change on your billing date of November 4, 2024.” In short, Google is giving you more than 30 days’ notice when your plan is going up, but it appears to be increasing starting in November anyway.
