O YouTube launched a few weeks ago in the application the “Full HD Premium” resolution, an option that significantly increases the video bit rate, improving the experience of paid plan subscribers. This novelty was initially implemented in the version for Android and iOS, but it arrives on the web starting this week.

According to The Verge, YouTube Premium subscribers may encounter this enhanced image option when consuming videos from their computer. To do this, just click on the settings gear, below the playback bar, and choose Premium FHD quality – this option increases internet consumption!

Although FHD Premium is the highest quality resolution in the app, the standard version is still available and should not be removed from the app.

This improvement comes on the heels of an increase in the value of YouTube subscriptions. In a statement sent to users on the afternoon of last Friday (4), the company confirms the readjustment in both the Individual and Family modality, which now cost the following amounts:

Individual — BRL 24.90 Family — BRL 41.90 Student — BRL 13.90
