YouTube is starting to roll out a new feature that allows timed reactions to be included. at specific times videos hosted on the platform.
This system derives from the temporary comments beta feature.an experience the company launched last April on iOS and Android devices that allowed users to link their comments to specific sections of videos.
“We wanted to test similar functionality. We are testing the timed reactions experiment with. a small number of channels to start“, YouTube announced on its support page.
Now users accessing videos where this tool has been introduced will be able to react and see the reactions of others as long as they open the comments section of the video. and click on the feedback panel.
In these early phases of timed reactions, YouTube will maintain anonymity people who submit their reactions.
For now, the system only allows you to react with a heart, the party icon, a light bulb, a question mark, a scared cat, the maximum score of 100, a surprised face and a laughing crying face.
However, the company said that tests multiple reactionsand will add or remove them as these tests evolve.
