Two political activities organized by young people in Kolda this Saturday, January 27, a single grievance raised, namely the employment and employability of young people to reduce unemployment which has become “worrying”. At the departmental general assembly of young people whose closing ceremony was chaired by Minister Moussa Baldé as well as at the meeting of their counterparts from the Sinthiang Toutouroung district of the commune of Kolda, a meeting in which a strong delegation led by the MESRI took part , young people have brought this old grievance up to date.

“The Kolda department today has many young graduates who struggle to find the smallest internship to the point that they no longer even believe in the dream of being recruited somewhere. The question of employment has really become a concern for us young people,” according to the youth spokesperson for the department of Kolda united behind Minister Moussa Baldé. Same story with their counterparts, members of the “Wu-Tang-Clan” association of Sinthiang Tountouroung. “In this neighborhood located on the outskirts of Kolda, we lack everything. Most young people don’t have a job. The problem of employment remains our major concern,” ASC President Laabal Sény Seydi informed the Minister and his delegation during this meeting.

In response to this grievance, the Minister President of the Department of Kolda Moussa Baldé, first returned to the efforts made by the State, through the Xeyu Ndaw Ni program among others, to provide “urgent solutions” to this problem of youth employment. The MESRI then reassured that there are really other opportunities in Kolda with the job niches that the relocated center of Assane Seck University and the General Directorate of SODAGRI currently under construction will be able to offer. At the national level, “with oil and gas, Senegal can accelerate the pace in the area of youth employment,” indicated the head of the RUR.

Regarding the concern linked to women’s financing, Professor Moussa Baldé invites his “sisters” from Fouladou to organize themselves and above all to get closer to the departmental women’s service with whom he intends to work in collaboration to “provide rapid solutions to this question “.
