Yambu: The HMR Evergreen FC Yambu team won the inaugural One Day Sevens Football Tournament organized by the Yambu Youth India Club for the Royal Plaza Olive Express Winners Trophy and The Best Support Company Runners’ Trophy. HMR Evergreen FC Yambu beat Aratko Malabar FC Yambu by two goals to one at Yambu Radwa Floodlight Stadium.
The Yambu expatriates enthusiastically took over the competition, which was changed by eight prominent teams in Yambu. Nabil Peruvallur (Aratco Malabar FC), Goalkeeper Shanavas Alanallur (Aratco Malabar FC), Ansil Pathappiriyam (HMR Evergreen FC), HMR Evergreen FC HMR Evergreen FC). Tanima Western Province Secretary Salim Vengara, Yambu Football Association President Siraj Musliarakat, Youth India Western Province President Tamim Mambadu, Madina Zonal President Jabir Vaniyambalam, Aratco Managing Director Abdul Hamid, Gulf Media Sama Medical Company), Nasser Mukil, Shabeer Hassan, Salahuddin Chendamangalore, Shoukath Edakkara, Faisal Babu Pathappiriyam and Mansoor Karuvanthuruthy distributed trophies and prizes to the winners.
The Best Support Company Admin Manager Bisto Paulus, Pravasi Cultural Center Yambu Region President Soji Jacob, Anu Baby, Dr. Yusuf Koppam and Ibrahim Kutty were present on the occasion. Shanavas Vandoor officiated. Tournament Committee Convener Lallu Suhail, Assistant Convenors Safeel Kadannamanna, Yashik Tirur, Shahbaz Vaniyambalam and Sajid Vengur led the tournament.
