Doha: The Youth Forum Qatar in collaboration with the Al Khor Municipality cleaned up the Daqeera beach area on the occasion of World Environment Day. The coastal clean-up event was organized under the ‘One Tide’ program launched jointly by the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy and Seven Seas as part of environmental protection activities.
Garbage, including plastic items, aluminum cans, bottles and pieces of wood, was collected and removed from the area. Fifty Youth Forum volunteers and their families participated in the event, which was organized in compliance with health and safety guidelines.
The event was very exciting for the new generation in environmental protection and environmental sanitation. The Youth Forum also expressed its readiness to strengthen the work of the Qatar National Vision 2030 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which focus on Life Below Water and Life on Land.
President SS Mustafa said that the Youth Forum has always been interested in different programs as part of environmental protection. He thanked the Al Khor Municipality authorities for their full support and cooperation and for the Youth Forum volunteers who worked hard for the first and last success.
