Youri Tielemans opens the scoring against Tottenham… after a penalty shot twice, assist Castagne

In bad shape this season, Leicester went to the lawn of Tottenham as part of the eighth day of the Premier League.

The match started in the best possible way for the Foxes who inherited a penalty following four short minutes of play following an (unnecessary) foul by Davinson Sanchez on James Justin. Tielemans then seized the ball … but stumbled over Hugo Lloris, who chose the right side.

Bad luck for the Spurs captain, the referee made the kick start once more since the Frenchman was not on his line at the time of the strike. The former Anderlechtois once more took on his responsibilities and chose the same side. A paying choice since the median of the Belgians this time found the way to the nets to score his first goal of the season.

A short-lived joy as Harry Kane quickly put the two teams equal before Dier gave the lead to Antonio Conte’s proteges.

Maddison then put the two teams tied five minutes from the break, following a fine assist from Castagne. But just following returning from the locker room, Rodrigo Bentancur restored the lead to the Londoners.

Son, yet a substitute at kick-off, went away with a hat-trick to seal the score of the meeting. Tottenham finally won six goals to two and returned up to Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.
