One of the cleaning products that beats the others in terms of versatility and price, you can ditch most of your other sprays and still clean your home.
This standout product is one of the easiest and cheapest items. And that is, “liquid dishwashing”.
Dishwashing detergent, also known as soap and detergent, can be used for more than just washing your dishes.
Since most dishwashing liquid is in liquid form, you only need a small amount for cleaning.
Carpet
Most floor cleaners are no better than plain water for cleaning floors.
Instead, pour a little liquid dishwashing liquid into your bucket and fill with hot water for an effective cleaner that will leave your floors sparkling.
Shower screen
Soap and hard water stains make shower glass cloudy.
You can fix it with a little dish soap. Wet a knife and then scrub all over. Wash off with soapy water.
Windows and glass
Leave the window cleaning spray for both windows and mirrors and use a cloth and soapy water to clean.
Clothing stains
Dish soap usually contains a degreaser. That means it comes in handy for things like oil stains.
Remove the stain by adding a drop or two of detergent and rubbing it with your fingers. Leave it on for five to ten minutes before washing off as usual.
Driveway spots
Degreasers in dishwashing liquid will also work on oil stains in the garage or driveway. Put a few drops on the stain, wipe and then wash.
Kitchen sink
For daily cleaning, just soapy water is fine, or if you prefer, an antibacterial spray is fine.
But for a satisfying shine, pour a little dishwashing liquid on the sink and sprinkle baking soda on top.
Then rinse with water
Kitchen cabinets
Kitchen cabinets require warm soapy water to clean thoroughly.
You can make a bowl of soapy water to dip your clothes in, or for a quick clean, just add a drop of dish soap and wet your clothes, then rinse.
Stone benches
There are many things you should not use to clean your stone benches, including bleach, vinegar and baking soda.
The only thing you can clean it with, though, is dishwashing liquid.
An easy way to clean this surface regularly is to make your own spray with detergent and water. Give the bench a spritz or two and clean.
After wiping down your bench, lean over and check that the surface is clean. From this position you will be able to see all the parts that you may have forgotten.
Smelly drains
After washing kitchen sinks, everything that goes under them can be very smelly. So pour a little dishwashing liquid down your sink hole and scrub with warm water. Some people use boiling water, but if your pipes are made of PVC, boiling water should be avoided.
Jewelry
For most jewelry, you can use a few drops of dishwashing liquid in warm water. Soak them for regarding five minutes and then wash off.
