Younis Khan was appointed as the batting coach of the national team

Pakistan Cricket Board has appointed former cricketer Younis Khan as the batting coach of the national team. Arshad Khan has been appointed as the bowling coach of the women’s team.

Younis Khan has been appointed at least till ICCT20 World Cup 2022.

Earlier, Younis Khan also served as the batting coach of the national cricket team during the tour of England. The former captain will now play the same role in the New Zealand tour.

Younis Khan scored 10099 runs in 118 Test matches, 7249 runs in 265 One Day International matches and 442 runs in 25 T20 International matches.

He scored the most 34 test centuries for Pakistan. His best score was 313 against Sri Lanka in Karachi in 2009.

Younis Khan was also the captain of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2009 winning Pakistan cricket team. In the final of the event, Pakistan won the title by defeating Sri Lanka.

Chief Executive PCB Wasim Khan says that even if the national cricket team is not engaged, it has made a plan to benefit from Younis Khan’s experience and ability.

He said that he is happy that Younis Khan will now work with us as batting coach for at least the next two years.

Younis Khan has said that he is interested in working at the domestic level as well. Efforts will be made to identify talented players in a timely manner and improve their skills.

Reacting to his appointment, Arshad Khan said that it is a great opportunity to coach women cricketers alongside David Hamp.

Arshad Khan took 32 and 56 wickets in 9 Tests and 58 ODIs respectively. He will assume his new duties after the remaining four matches of HBL PSL 2020.

Arshad Khan says that it will be a wonderful experience to work with the National Women’s Cricket Team along with David Hemp, meanwhile our aim will be to improve the ranking of the National Women’s Cricket Team.
