Two other citizens remain confined in the burn unit of the Ruiz y Páez University Complex, in Ciudad Bolívar.
One of the citizens who were injured in a fire in an apartment in Villa Central died this Sunday, December 25.
The 17-year-old died this morning. Her mother, Mónica Cortés, 48, continues to receive treatment.
Meanwhile, 19-year-old Paola Montaño, who was also injured in the fire, remains out of danger.
The trio was transferred in the followingnoon of December 21 from the Américo Babó Hospital, in Puerto Ordaz; to the Ruiz y Páez University Complex, in Ciudad Bolívar.

A column of smoke alerted the residents of Villa Central to a fire in one of the apartments on the second floor of block 29 in the sector located in the Cachamay parish, in Puerto Ordaz.
The 17-year-old girl and the 48-year-old woman suffered burns to their faces, arms, abdomen and legs.
The causes of the fire that broke out following noon on December 21 are still unknown.
