Young Upper Austrians robbed by a gang of girls in Vienna

The five suspects, aged between 16 and 19, are said to have threatened the group in a holiday apartment in Vienna-Landstrasse with a suspected firearm, kicked them and took valuables such as cell phones from the victims. According to police, everyone involved has confessed.

The young tourists wanted to rent a holiday apartment at the start of their stay in Vienna on April 2nd. However, a person who was at least 20 years old was required to sign the contract. The group then contacted an acquaintance who assured them that he would send a suitable person over.

Toy gun as a weapon

Instead of a person who was at least 20 years old, the girl gang showed up a short time later and robbed the young people and then fled. The Vienna State Criminal Police Office was able to quickly identify the suspects and their whereregardings through “intensive and meticulous investigations”. These are a 16-year-old Serbian citizen, a 17-year-old German, an 18-year-old with unclear nationality, a 19-year-old Hungarian and a 20-year-old Romanian. All five confessed that the suspected weapon was a toy gun.
