Graz – On Thursday night, two young men damaged the Israel flag that was displayed on a flagpole in front of the Graz town hall with a knife. The two had apparently climbed onto scaffolding to get to the flag. Police officers intervened and pursued the two. One escaped, the other – a Syrian (17) living in Graz – was arrested in Schmidgasse adjacent to the main square. He did not confess to the crime, as a police officer told the APA.
