In a shocking scene that angered many Saudis, on the communication sites during the past hours, a young man stabbed a driver in front of a school in the Al-Khaleej neighborhood, east of Riyadh, then fled.
However, the Riyadh police were later able to arrest the citizen who assaulted the resident with a knife, confirming that the latter’s health condition is stable.
After investigations, it was found that the perpetrator suffered from mental illness. While the police confirmed that he was arrested to take legal action once morest him, and to refer him to the Public Prosecution.
The young man appeared in the video clip, which was spread on the communication sites, approaching a car parked in front of a school, then opening its back door, and stabbing the driver several times. As a result, he was wounded in the arm, according to what appeared in the video, following he quickly got out of the car and left the place.
The footage also showed the attacker trying to escape, but the video documenter chased him with his car. While the young man managed to elude him and flee, he was later arrested by the police.
The information stated that the driver sustained 12 stab wounds in the arm, and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
