Just a few days after the shooting death of the rapper C.Gambino, two young men were arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting the murder.

Now the prosecutor Shahrzad Rahimi changes the criminal classification for one of the men to suspect of murder.
– We think he is the shooter, she says Gothenburg Post.
The other man is still in custody for aiding and abetting murder and newly arrested for serious damage, the prosecutor’s office states.
Shot in a parking lot
It was in the evening, June 4, that the fatal shots were fired in a parking garage at Selma Lagerlöfstorg in Hisingen. The rapper was taken by ambulance to hospital but his life could not be saved.

The police’s theory is that the murder is connected to the gang environment in the rapper’s surroundings, but that C.Gambino himself should not have been involved in the conflict.
Grammy winner
C.Gambino was an acclaimed musician in his genre and earlier this year won a Grammy in the Hip Hop of the Year category. He chose to keep his identity secret and always wore a mask in public.
The rap artist was 26 years old.
C.Gambino’s music career
C.Gambino debuted in 2019 with the single Rebel. After a couple of singles, he released his debut EP Demons No Angels (DNA) in 2020.
He was named one of adidas and Spotify’s Class of 2021 artists – names to keep an eye on.
In 2022, the debut album Sin City was released. The album reached second place on the Swedish charts.
The following year, C.Gambino collaborated with the rapper 23 on the EP MOB, a project that reached first place on the Swedish charts.
At the 2024 Grammy Awards, C.Gambino won in the Hip Hop of the Year category.
