Young man poured gasoline on his mother and set her on fire

The victim was unable to control her sphincters and the daughter was “blinded by rage,” authorities said.

A 22-year-old woman was arrested for having been responsible for setting her mother on fire, after spraying gasoline on her and pretending that she died from an accident.

The information was released by Douglas Rico, director of the Corps of Scientific, Penal and Criminal Investigations (Cicpc). He happened in Los Teques, Miranda state.

It all happened when FS Mauco Méndez, 22 years old, took the life of his mother Belki Yajaira Méndez García, 58 years old. The victim was found burned in her house.

At first it was believed that it was an accident, but Mauco Méndez’s version was not consistent with the scene, Rico revealed on his social networks.

This is how the investigations began and the young woman herself confessed to the crime. She apparently always attacked her mother, who was also sick and could not control her sphincters, which led to her being filled with anger.

The father of the victimizer said that a few days ago he gave her a container of gasoline, which would have been the same one he used to spray her and then set it on fire.

Belki dove to the ground to try to put out the flames, but was knocked unconscious. There Mauco Méndez took her to her room, he changed her clothes and left the house.

“At the time of discovery, the victim was wearing clothing without signs of combustion and a few meters from the body, there was a partially burned pajama-type gown, evidencing that her clothing had been changed,” Rico said.
