A commission from the Corps for Crimes Against Persons in Nueva Esparta captured a 19-year-old boy who allegedly murdered his ex-partner with a machete.
The murderer took advantage of the fact that the victim was passing through the Rodulfo farmhouse, in Santa Ana, to attack the woman with a machete.
The man, according to the official version, would have committed the murder since the 27-year-old girl had a new partner, which led to an argument with the detainee because he wanted to resume the old relationship.
Douglas Rico, director of the Criminal, Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc), added that the victim presented multiple injuries caused by the knife, which made any type of recovery impossible.
The body of Karliany Del Valle Quijada González, 27, was found by security forces shortly following the crime was committed.
And, following several investigations, the suspect was arrested, who must answer for the femicide before the Prosecutor’s Office 13 of the Public Ministry.
During the operation, security agencies seized the murder weapon.
