Exclusively the criminal lawyer Miguel Ángel Pierri, who legally advises the family, spoke with RÍO NEGRO Newspaper.
Pierri will officially take the case this Wednesday, although he has the field work of a corresponding lawyer. «What we will try to establish is whether there was negligence or lack of medical solidarity in the care of Matías, due to the delay that occurred between the circumstances that led to the attack and the medical attention,” he anticipated regarding the direction he will give to his sponsorship.
“We want to know if he was not dead at the door of the sanatorium unit”he commented and added that he awaits the detailed results of the expertise on the body of the Neuquén.
Asked about the statements of the medical director of the San Juan de Dios hospital in Oruro who claimed that the young man from 35 years old had arrived dead at the institution, Pierri answered: “He says that, perfect but if it’s not like that, he will be responsible for everything.”

Pierri and his team are waiting for the detailed results of the autopsy to know if it provides data that could resolve the family’s position. Although the cause of death has already been determined, it remains to be known if immediate medical attention could have given him a chance.
