An explosion recorded this Friday in a house in the Boca Sur sector of San Pedro de la Paz (Biobío Region) led to an investigation for the crime of frustrated femicide.
According to Carabineros, A 16-year-old girl suffered burns to 44 percent of her body following her 20-year-old boyfriend blew up a gas cylinder.
The subject, identified as Juan Cruces Parra, was arrested for the crimes of frustrated femicide and fire.

The Captain Christopher Candia, service deputy commissioner of the Sixth Police Station of San Pedro La Paz, indicated that, “before losing consciousness, (the victim) stated that her boyfriend, who was in the place, had caused this fire, as a result of different discussions they had had during the day.
“Other witnesses stated that this same subject would have exploded a gas cylinder in the home and that is why the fire would have started,” added the police officer.
The teenager She remains hospitalized in serious condition but not life-threatening.
The detainee was also accused of committing contempt of house arrestand at the time of being transferred on the police vehicle, smashed a patrol window.
