The Egyptian actress, Hoda Al-Sultan, boldly and unabashedly told the details of her meeting with the artist Farid Shawqi in an old interview with Al-Ahram newspaper, revealing his secret.
The artist told: “One of the producers offered me to monopolize my artistic efforts for 3 years for his company, and I went to the company’s studio, and the producer invited me to visit the plateau and introduced me to the film’s heroes, among whom was Farid Shawqi, and I sat watching the filming.”
And she continued, “We were in the month of Ramadan and I was tired of hunger, and I noticed that Fred peeking at me from time to time, until he took the opportunity to set the lights and approached me.
According to the artist, he spoke, saying, “You drink something sloppy,” so I said, “No, I’m Saimah.” She interrupted him, saying: “Do you pray too… Strange?” He said: “Never… Never” and I left the studio following that.
Circulating stories recounted that some artists were authorized by Morocco while they took the cup of wine and referred to Farid Shawqi as one of these.
