Scientists from the Open University of Catalonia in Spain, published an article in the journal Nutrients, regarding the usefulness of coffee in the treatment of mental disorders such as attention deficit hyperactivity syndrome.
Researchers have discovered that the use of caffeine in the treatment of hyperactivity in children and adults leads to an improvement in the level of attention, concentration and learning, as well as some types of memory, and that the proposed methods of use do not lead to an increase in the level of blood pressure.
Earlier, researchers at Canadian McMaster University stated that drinking coffee has health benefits. And that caffeine helps lower the level of cholesterol in the body through its effect on the special proteins PCSK9, which helps the liver remove low-density lipoproteins from the blood.
