Dubai: Murali Vijay recently announced his retirement from international cricket. The 38-year-old last wore the Test jersey for India in the 2018 Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Murali played for India in 61 Tests and scored 3982 runs. This will include 12 centuries and 15 fifties. The player’s highest score is 167 once morest Australia in 2013. He wore the Indian jersey in all 17 ODI matches. The score is 339 runs. He scored 169 runs in nine T20 matches.
Vijay is currently playing in Legends League cricket. Meanwhile, he talked regarding the superstars of the Indian team. Vijay also talked regarding KL Rahul’s poor form. “Rahul knows very well what needs to be done to get back into form. Better to let him go. After Sunil Gavaskar and Virender Sehwag, Murali is the opener with the most centuries in the history of Indian Test cricket. Gavaskar scored 33 centuries in 203 innings. Sehwag scored 22 centuries in 168 innings. Murali played 100 innings and scored 12 centuries.
