Eduardo “Wado” de Pedro met today with some provincial leaders, in advance of the League of Governors summit. He was emphatic in expressing -in a clear electoral message- what is needed “a government with order and firmness in favor of the workers«.

«When you see the provinces that work well it is because there are order and firmness. EOrder and firmness were always from Peronism, we are not going to give away those words either“, specified the Minister of the Interior, who is one of the pre-candidates for the Presidency of the Frente de Todos.

Even during the first day of the Regional Infrastructure Seminar that was held at the Kirchner Cultural Center, the official was encouraged to slide a criticism of the management of Alberto Fernández: «A government is needed with order and firmness in favor of the workers».

In this sense, the minister stated: “As for the Argentina that we want to be there is a basic consensus that we want a federal Argentina. We are people of action, people of few words, and we said ‘for us federalism is work’. We cannot talk regarding federalism if there is no work«.

The importance of public works was the central theme of the Regional Infrastructure Seminar, organized by the Ministry of Public Works.

Gabriel Katopodis, minister of the area, opened the debate by stating that “we want to know which Argentina we want to be, extractivist or with national production, in a diverse and unequal territory. The infrastructure balances that field, so that there are no places left behind, that Vaca Muerta is not for four living; that production must be conducted, which is in politics and in an intelligent role of the State, with the governors and with a federal perspectivel”.

Alicia Kirchner, meanwhile, took a tour of the 8 years of management, recounting that “When I took charge of the province of Santa Cruz it was deteriorated in various aspects, but to give immediate answers, which we did not have. We came to ask President Macri for help and we didn’t get it«.

«Since the Nation did not give us income, we created a collection agency, although we might barely pay the salaries, and we asked the mining companies to create a fund for production. The Macri government took out works from us, which we were now able to finish. The look to grow has to be territorial and federativehe,” he added.

For his part, Buenos Aires Governor Axel Kicillof focused his presentation on the fact that “theThe division that is made in Argentina is between CABA and the interior and the Province has an indefinite place«. It was in this line that he assured that his province is also part of the interior and that it also needs works.

«We are experiencing a process of population growth in the Conurbano without the accompaniment of the works that it needed. Growth came with industrialization hand in hand with Peronism, with social inclusion policies, but there were other moments of decline without the accompaniment of basic social investment and this happened because neoliberalism and the right generated inequalities in the Province of Buenos Aires”, he explained regarding the deterioration of Greater Buenos Aires.

Gerardo Zamora, governor of Santiago del Estero, stressed that “The potential of Argentina and the northwest needs infrastructure, but the debt for that ended in other provinces«. In his criticism of the City of Buenos Aires, he defended the management of Néstor Kirchner as promoter of a “federal vision.”
