“You have cancer.” A collective message from a famous medical center causes panic!

A number of people in the British city of Doncaster were surprised by a text message from a famous medical center on December 23, confirming that they had “aggressive lung cancer”, which was sent by mistake instead of a message wishing them a happy birthday.

This message sparked moments of terror following receiving the message from the medical center, which disturbed their Christmas celebrations in an atmosphere of happiness.

After regarding 22 minutes, the center sent a second text message, offering a “sincere apology” for the error, adding: “Our message to you should have said: We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,” according to the British newspaper “The Sun”.

This message alarmed many, especially since some of them were already waiting for the results of lung cancer tests.

Real estate developer Chris Reed, 57, said the letter he received following being tested for lung cancer “brought his partner down in tears”.

Immediately, Reid tried to contact the center, but found the phone lines were not available, so he rushed to the center to be informed followingwards that it was a “mistake” and that the cancer results he obtained were “actually negative.”

For his part, one of the patients posted the message on his Facebook account, explaining that he rushed to the center near him, as soon as he received it.

He added: “There is clearly something wrong with Askern. I got this message and I’m not the only one. I was shaking and regarding to cry.”
