“I was an excellent student at school and thought that a useful profession was needed. I began to analyze my life. One important person told me: “Art conquers sorrow.” This phrase is the meaning of this profession for me. The idea is to give people some kind of joy, to make them happier,” says Olga.

At GITIS, she studied at the directing department – with Leonid Kheifets. Shortly after graduation, Olga played her first film role and immediately the main one – in the drama “The Sea Worries Once”. Received a prize at the Kinotavr festival.

In the troupe of the theater “Workshop of Pyotr Fomenko” Bodrova made her debut as Lara in the production of “Doctor Zhivago”. Olga was also taken in the performances “A Thousand and One Nights”, “The Testament of Charles Adams”, “The Cherry Orchard”, “The Tearing Movements of Water”.
In the filmography of the actress, there are only five works so far. In 2023, a picture with the participation of Bodrova “Passion for Matvey” was released.
Olga believes: “You can’t be in time everywhere. If you understand that you cannot be one hundred percent both there and there, you have to choose. And if you choose, then I will choose the theater.
So far life has not put Olga before a very tough choice. And in the last four months, the most important tasks for Bodrova are not connected with the stage and not with the set.
“What difference does it make if you get married now or later?”
Olga got married three years ago. She was only 22, her career was just beginning. Why didn’t Bodrova delay her marriage? Now is not the time to immediately run to the registry office.

“I was driven by love, of course. This is some kind of feeling when you become not afraid, when you suddenly realize that next to this person you feel good. And you want to be with him, and then what difference does it make to get married now or later?
She chose a man with the same name as her father, even the surname is consonant. Olga’s husband Sergey Bystrov is her colleague. He is nine years older. He also studied at GITIS – with Dmitry Krymov and Evgeny Kamenkovich. Was accepted into the theater. Mayakovsky.

He has only played four roles in films so far. Including in such a famous film as “My Angel Boyfriend”. The main actor has not yet been trusted.
In March of this year, good news came – Olga and Sergey became parents. They named their only daughter Love. Bodrov Jr. will no longer know that he has become a grandfather. But Svetlana Bodrova enjoys the role of a grandmother. She never remarried after the death of her husband.
