You can watch Formula 1 partly outside Viaplay

A small part of Formula 1 will also be shown on SBS9 in addition to Viaplay. Viaplay has signed a deal with Talpa for this purpose.

Formula 1 summaries and qualifications will be shown on SBS9, which will continue as Viaplay TV from April 5. You still have to pay for Viaplay for the live races.

Viaplay TV starts with the second free practice for the Japanese GP. Other sports also find their way to the television channel, with English and German darts and football matches. Viaplay TV will also broadcast films and series from Talpa.

It is not yet clear which party in the Netherlands will run away with the Formula 1 rights for 2025. For Viaplay, Formula 1 is the big crowd puller, but the costs for the rights are also high. The subscription for Viaplay will in any case become a bit more expensive from May 22. You no longer pay 15.99 euros for a month, but 17.99 euros.
