Zsófia Koncz recalled: every year more and more people join the action, last year more than 40,000 volunteers collected around 850 tons of waste at 900 locations across the country.

The TeZedd! connected with the theme week of sustainability, it starts on Earth Day, April 22 and lasts until April 28. Applications from educational institutions, workplace communities, and groups of friends are also expected this year, he indicated.

He drew attention to the fact that construction debris, car parts, and electronic devices cannot be collected during the campaign, but if the participants find such, it can be reported in the Waste Radar application launched in 2020. He added that 27,000 people have already registered for this, more than 43,000 reports have been received and hundreds of thousands of tons of waste have been collected through this.

The state secretary explained: the climate and nature protection action plan adopted in 2020 was an important message from the government, which includes the elimination of illegal waste dumps.
