You can now silently leave WhatsApp groups, there are new updates

As is well known, WhatsApp calls and texts are end-to-end encrypted, chats can be scheduled to self-destruct, backups to be generated or not, and there is a two-step verification for prevent hacks.

All this contributes positively to the care of the privacy of the users. However, the app does not cease in its goal of keeping conversations much more secure. To do this, it established three new functions, two of them will begin to be implemented this month.

Leave groups quietly

As much as you love group chats, you know some aren’t forever. For this reason, the app will allow that now, instead of notifying the entire group when leaving the space, only the administrators will be informed. This feature will start rolling out to all users this month.

Choose who can see when you’re online

Although the application allows you to hide the time of the last connection, the online status is still visible to everyone. Until this month! From now on you can choose which users you want to know that you are inside the app. This way you can review your WhatsApp privately without your presence being discovered.

Block screenshots to view messages once

View Once (or see only once) is already a popular way to share photos or media that do not need to have a permanent digital record. However, the application seeks to block the possibility of screenshots for this type of message. This feature is still in testing and has no date for its implementation.
