Good results after transfer last season, but sluggish this season
Pirates infielder Yoshitomo Tsutsugo has been declared a de facto outfielder (DFA), according to Jason McKay of the local newspaper Post Gadget Sports. In the future, it will be waivered, and if there are no offers from other teams, options such as free contract (FA) and minor demotion will be available.
Tsutsugo, who transferred to the Pirates in August of last year, has played 43 games since the transfer last season and marked a good result with a batting average of .268, 8 home runs, and 25 RBIs. 171 with two homers and 17 RBIs this season.
