People’s Power Presidential candidate Yoon Seok-yeol interviewed the bereaved family of a public official who was killed by North Korean forces in the West Sea on the 31st, and emphasized that “all circumstances should be disclosed to the public.” Aiming at the Moon Jae-in government, he said, “What the hell did you do wrong, so you can’t tell me?”
Candidate Yoon met the wife and son of a public official at the People’s Strength Agency in Yeouido, Seoul on the followingnoon of the same day. Candidate Yoon comforted him, saying, “The government must not forget that the safety and protection of its citizens should be the top priority.” “The truth will be revealed soon, so please bear with it.”

The son, Lee, asked Yoon to restore his father’s honor and find out the truth. Lee also said, “The state announces that (regarding my father) is defecting to North Korea, so they do mosaics, but in the future (when the truth is revealed), I want to be proud and live a normal life like other children.”
Candidate Yoon responded, “If the government has done nothing wrong, shouldn’t it have been shown to protect the people? What did I do wrong, so that I mightn’t tell North Korea (the circumstances of the incident)?” he said. He continued, “Like I promised in July of last year, I will check the details of the incident as much as possible and show it to the public.”
