Unchanged body weight over time

The body weight used to be 67-68 kg. Also back pain, numbness in limbs etc. increased and body flexibility decreased. Problems like insomnia also started bothering me. Fatigue and lack of energy on waking in the morning. I felt this needed to change. Still there was no thought of losing weight. Because I am a member of a family that is traditionally overweight. Therefore, no big change in weight was expected. There was only the thought of improving health. And I didn’t want to sit around with backaches and handshakes.

To yoga with the right foot

Even though she loved yoga from a very early age, she had never practiced a single asana until the age of 57. When I wanted to improve my health, yoga was the first thing that came to my mind. When I researched, I came to know that there are teachers who provide yoga training online. Even then, there was a fear that the body would yield to do all these asanas. When the matter was presented at home, the husband, son and daughter-in-law were very supportive. They are unanimous that mother can do it. Her husband said, ‘You should join yoga first and practice it, then the rest will take care of it.’ Seeing the confidence they all had in me, I decided to try yoga.

The yoga guru was a child old enough to be my daughter. But it was a no-compromise practice. At first the body did not give in but following a month the difference started to appear. The Guru also tried to do each asana until he practiced it properly. So, the truth is that I never felt for a second that I mightn’t. After four months, the body began to yield. By waking up every morning and doing yoga, the flexibility of the body increased and other physical ailments changed. Back pain and leg pain are gone. With that, mental excitement and confidence increased. The body weight, which was thought to be unchanged, also decreased regularly. Now the weight has reached 60 kg.

He had good arm fat and his arm muscles were droopy due to age. But following doing hand rotation and elbow exercises, the hand muscles got stronger. The sagging muscles are also removed. Now when relatives and friends see them, they say that the body has become well-toned, the belly has shrunk, and the age has halved. Glad to hear this. And the relief that all this was possible even at this age.

Before yoga, I didn’t pay enough attention to food. Through the Guru’s systematic discipline, food was restricted and sweets were completely given up. Insomnia completely changed with pranayama. With that, the mind became peaceful and happy. I started practicing yoga for three months, but now I have been practicing yoga for two years.
