Uri yodelers achieve a complete success at the «Eidgenössisches»
The yodel clubs Tälläbuebä from Attinghausen, Seerose from Flüelen and Bärgblüemli from Schattdorf as well as the Zanini-Brun yodel family achieved top marks in Zug.
The highlight of the yodel year took place with the federal yodel festival in Zug. The Tälläbuebä yodel club from Attinghausen, the Seerose yodel club from Flüelen and the Bärgblüemli Schattdorf yodel club represented Uri on the stages of a total of eight betting shops. They all qualified for it at the Central Swiss Yodelling Festival in Andermatt in 2022.

The Schattdorfers got the ball rolling: on Friday evening they performed the song “Alpfrüehlig” by Hans Walter Schneller. The composition has been in the club’s repertoire for a long time and has now been reworked by the conductor Erika Zanini-Brun for the big event. The first bass came out particularly well with a skilfully practiced solo. The result: The “Bärgblüemlern” managed a wonderful performance, which was honored with thunderous applause from the audience and the top mark 1.
“Tälläbuebä” and “Seeroseler” are also convincing
On Saturday, the performances of the “Tälläbuebä” and the yodelling club Seerose followed. The Attinghauser, led by Corina Francesca Ferrari, performed the song “S’Jodle isch im Schwizer g’gäh” by Robert Fellmann. The demanding composition is characterized above all by a beautiful yodel, which the “Tälläbuebä” succeeded perfectly and was also rated with great applause and the grade 1.
The Flüeler came to the end, performing the song “Mit Gsang i’d Nacht” by Peter Küenzi, who was also a juror at the festival, under the direction of Yvonne Stadler-Reichlin. The third club from Uri also clearly showed at their performance that they had practiced a lot and were rewarded with the top mark of 1.
Uri yodelling family achieves top marks
The Zanini family was among the other Uri residents who were involved in the yodelling category: Erika and Reto Zanini-Brun performed as a duet and together with their sons Raphael and David in a quartet. The four of them sang “Aabestärn” by André von Moos, while the parents sang “Freud am Läbe” by Franz Stadelmann in the Guthirt church in the evening. They were each accompanied by Franz Röösli. The two lectures earned enthusiasm from the audience and two more well-deserved top marks.
Thus ended a wonderful yodelling festival with the wonderful atmosphere in the yodelling village. Jützli were still being sung everywhere, and the warm weather made it possible to celebrate until the early hours of the morning. The bottom line is that all Uri yodelers returned home from Zug extremely satisfied. It is a real pleasure that the customs in the Uri region are still practiced at such a high level. (pd/eca)
