“Israel cannot be subdued, neither the IDF, nor the defense establishment, nor the state. We will stand strong, we will achieve our goals – we will hit Hamas, we will hit Hezbollah and we will achieve security.”
This was the message sent by Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Galand speaking at a memorial service for the fallen and victims of terrorism in Israel.
“On October 7,” reported the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, “an unprovoked war was launched against the state of Israel. This is a war on 7 different fronts. The IDF, the wider defense establishment and the state as a whole have stood strong, but the price we are paying is heavy. We have no other choice, we have no other country. We will do whatever is necessary, and I repeat – whatever is necessary, to defend the citizens of Israel, to remove the evil threats against us, and to stand up to those who seek to destroy us.”
Yoav Galand emphasized that this message is addressed “both to Israel’s enemies and to our best friends”.
