Under the leadership of the Advisor in charge of Women within the national coordination for Yes in the 2024 referendum, Victoire Lasseni Duboze, the women gathered within a dynamic called: “the Great Referendum Meeting of Women for Yes”, have indicated in a mega meeting held on November 14, 2024 in a packed room at the Ark of the Alliance located in 1is district of Libreville, that “Yes” is the only valid option during the referendum scheduled for this Saturday, November 16 across the entire territory.

“By saying Yes, we are charting the path so that every Gabonese woman benefits from the same rights; this constitution is much more than a written text but it is the summary of the struggle of several of our compatriots who led the good fight”made Ms. Lasseni Duboze understand.

The big meeting brought together more than 2,000 women determined to vote yes in the referendum. Among them, there was Murielle Minkoué Epse Mintsa, Minister of Institutional Reform, who participated from start to finish in the development of the new fundamental law described as democratic progress by the yes supporters.

This major meeting was a pivotal moment in the referendum campaign. The speakers, women from all sectors of activity and social categories, traders, athletes, notables, young single mothers, Traditionalists, people living with a disability, executives and many others, adhered to this draft constitution which for they will guarantee the future of sustainable development of Gabon and the Gabonese people.
