Defending Champ Oh Ji-hyeon tied for 2nd place by two strokes… Park Min-ji 45th

Yerim Choi (23) took the lead in the Jeju Samdasoo Masters (total prize money of 900 million won) on the Korean Women’s Professional Golf (KLPGA) Tour for two days in a row.

In the second round of the tournament held at Elysian Jeju (par 72, 6,654 yards) in Jeju City on the 5th, Choi Yerim tied five birdies and one double bogey to hit 3-under 69.

He took the lead alone with a 7-under par in the first round, and maintained his lead by recording a 10-under par 134 in the interim.

Yerim Choi has not won a championship since her debut on the regular tour in 2018.

They won 2 wins on the Dream Tour, the 2nd part tour, and 1 win on the 3rd part tour, the Jump Tour.

This year, he finished 5th in the Nexen/St. Nine Masters in April, and continued his cruising towards his first victory on the regular tour in the first tournament in the second half of the year.

Yerim Choi, who started the first hole of the day as a birdie on the 10th hole (par 5), made a double bogey on the 11th hole (par 4) following a tee shot, but there was no shake.

He made a splash with a birdie on the 14th to 16th holes in a row, and following dropping a tee shot regarding 5m from the 2nd hole (par 3), following adding a birdie, everyone kept the par.

Choi Ye-rim said, “I had a good sense of shot and putt for two days.

The double bogey came out, but it was windy, so I didn’t think too much regarding it because I thought I might come out enough.” He said, “It’s my 5th year and I’m very greedy because I haven’t won a championship, but I’ll do my best in my play and then leave it to the sky.”

Defending champion Oh Ji-hyeon (26) was tied for second place (8-under 136) by reducing four shots with four birdies without bogey, and Kim Hee-Jun (22) in the second year drove 6-under on this day alone and stood shoulder to shoulder.

Oh Ji-hyun said, “I really liked the Elysian Stadium itself, so I played in a good mood.

Having the experience of winning this tournament, I am positively facing it.” He said, “The goal is to defend the title.”

Kim Hee-jun said, “I had good shot control, so I spent a lot of time near the pin, and the putt was the most satisfying.

All the putts I thought I had to put in went in,” he said.

Park Gyeol (26) and Ji Hansol (26) are also tied for second place.

Yoo Hae-ran (21), the winner of the 2019-2020 contest and the winner of this competition from 2019 to 2020, tied for 6th place (7 under par 137) with Park Hyun-kyung (22). (35) and tied for 12th (4-under-par 140).
