Yemen.. Two raids by the US-British coalition on Taiz

Yemen – The United States and Britain launched two raids on Taiz Governorate, southwest of Yemen, on Wednesday.

Press sources reported, in a breaking news report via Telegram, that “an American-British aggression targeted Taiz Governorate with two raids.”

The sources did not mention details about the results of this targeting, while no statement was available from Washington or London in this regard until 09:20 (GMT).

The legitimate government and the Houthi group share control over Taiz, Yemen’s most populous governorate.

Since November 2023, the Houthis have been targeting cargo ships linked to Tel Aviv in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, the Indian Ocean and the Mediterranean with missiles and drones, and they are also attacking targets inside Israel.

The group is calling for an end to a war waged by Israel with US support on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, which has resulted in more than 131,000 Palestinian deaths and injuries, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing.

In response to Houthi attacks, a US-led coalition has been launching airstrikes since the beginning of this year that it says target the group’s sites in various parts of Yemen.

With the intervention of Washington and London, the Houthi group announced last January that it now considers all American and British ships among its military targets.
