Yemen stresses the importance of putting pressure on militias politically and militarily

Aden (Union)

Yesterday, in Aden, Yemeni Foreign Minister Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak discussed with British Ambassador to Yemen Richard Oppenheim the current developments in Yemen, the escalation of the terrorist Houthi militia in the region, and the chances of achieving peace in Yemen.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs pointed to the importance of political and military pressure on the Houthi militia and its reclassification as a terrorist organization, praising this framework by the Arab League’s demand for this, following its military escalation in Yemen and the region and the increase in the frequency of violations and war crimes committed in Yemen and its threat to the security of neighboring countries and maritime navigation.
Bin Mubarak condemned the Houthi militia’s targeting of the United Arab Emirates with ballistic missiles the day before yesterday, noting that these actions that undermine the security and stability of the region fall within the framework of targeting Arab national security.
The meeting touched on the issue of the Safer Reservoir and the efforts made to spare Yemen and the region the danger of a devastating environmental disaster, stressing the need for concerted efforts to put an end to the Houthi militia’s procrastination and the obstacles it puts in place to prevent a solution to this humanitarian and environmental issue.
