Yekaterinburg’s April 10, 2023 Weather Prediction

Galina Sheporenko predicts that the southern regions will experience the Arctic air front by April 10th. Tuesday will continue to be chilly, but temperatures are expected to return to average on Wednesday, April 12th, with nighttime temperatures reaching 0 to -5 °C and daytime temperatures ranging from +6 to +11 °С. On April 14th, there will be another round of cold air, and temperatures are likely to hover around -3 to -7 °C at night and +3 to +7 °С during the day on April 15th and 16th. The second ten-day period promises a temperature rise of around 5 °C. Precipitation amount will be minimal during this span of time, though there might be some light sleet and rainfall particularly in the northern and eastern parts of the Sverdlovsk region on April 10th and 14th.

“By the end of the day on April 10, the front of the Arctic air will reach the southern regions of the region,” said Galina Sheporenko. It will be cool on Tuesday too. On Wednesday, 12th of Aprilthe weather will return to long-term averages: at night 0… -5 °Cfollowingnoon +6… +11 °С. Another portion of cold air will arrive at the end of the working week, 14th of April. On weekends, 15–16 April, air temperature at night -3… -7 °Cfollowingnoon +3… +7 °С. By the end of the second ten-day period, it will get warmer by 5 °C. There will be little precipitation during this period: light sleet, rain is likely mainly in the north and east of the Sverdlovsk region on Monday and Friday (April 10 and 14).



As we can see, the arctic air is making its way onto the southern regions, which means a drop in temperature in the next few days. However, the weather will return to long-term averages on Wednesday, with the temperature ranging from 0 to -5 °C at night and +6… +11 °С during the day. Another portion of cold air is expected to arrive at the end of the week, with overcast skies and light sleet forecasted. Nonetheless, by the end of the second ten-day period, we can hope for a 5 °C rise in temperature. So get those winter clothes out if you haven’t already and prepare to snuggle up for the remainder of the cold spell.
