ACTRESS Yasamin Jasem has starred in many horror films. Most recently, she starred in the horror comedy film Rumah Dinas Bapak directed by Bobby Prasetyo, and played the role of Mbak Lis, Dodit Mulyanto’s older sister.
Father’s Official Residence is a film adapted from the horror thread of comedian Dodit Mulyanto, based on a true story that he experienced with his family when living in an official residence in a teak forest. Dodit’s father is a forestry officer for Perhutani, whose job is to guard the forest including from illegal loggers.
When invited by the director, who had also worked together several times, Yasamin immediately agreed to play in the film Rumah Dinas Bapak. However, at that time she did not know that her role was a pregnant woman.
“Actually, when I was playing a movie, there was one thing I was afraid of, which was playing a pregnant woman. I felt unprepared. Well, in this movie, I just found out about my role when I got and read the script,” explained Yasamin during a press conference after the screening of the film Rumah Dinas Bapak at XXI Epicentrum, Kuningan, South Jakarta, Thursday, (1/8).
For Yasamin, her unpreparedness to be a pregnant woman was actually because she could not measure her emotions because she had never experienced it. Yasamin even felt nauseous when she was about to enter her scene.
“All emotions can be measured because I’ve experienced it. But I haven’t been pregnant. I’ve never imagined it. Every day, when I was going to shoot my scene, I was nervous to the point of feeling nauseous,” she said.
“However, when it was done, it was fun and everyone on the set helped,” he added.
Bapak’s Official Residence will air starting August 8, 2024. In addition to Yasamin Jasem, the film stars Dodit Mulyanto, Putri Ayudya, Elang El Gibran, Fajar Nugra and Sadana Agung. (M-4)
