Yaoundé welcomes the restitution of the Support Project for the African Response to the Covid-19 Epidemic (ARIACOV)

All the scientific and technical partners of the project will meet around these questions, during the final restitution workshop of the project to support the African response to the Covid-19 epidemic (ARIACOV), on 10 and 11 October 2022, at the Djeuga Palace Hotel in Yaoundé, under the high patronage of the Ministry of Public Health.
Since June 2020, the ARIACOV project, financed by AFD, coordinated by IRD and implemented in 6 West and Central African countries, by laboratories and national research structures, has enabled 1) to strengthen the capacity for molecular and serological diagnosis of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, 2) to conduct operational research in epidemiology and human and social sciences, 3) to support and train professionals in the challenges posed by this epidemic , 4) to report the results of research to national and regional public health actors.
In Cameroon, the ARIACOV project was led by the Center for Research on Emerging and Re-emerging Diseases (CREMER), the Division of Operational Health Research (DROS), the ANRS|MIE Cameroon site and the Catholic University of Central Africa (UCAC), to produce, through operational research, public health data.
