The former member of Rojo indicated that she has the skills to manage the Temuco Sports Corporation.
Controversy generated within the Municipality of Temuco the hiring of Yamna Lobos as manager of the Sports Corporation of that commune; one of her biggest detractors was councilman Stephen Barriga. Due to the above, the former member of Rojo clarified his position.
In an interview with the newspaper El Austral, the dancer indicated that she knew that her appointment in that city could provoke some criticism, although she assured that she feels prepared for the challenge.
“At first, when they raised this possibility with me, I commented on it and somehow I expected it. I’ve always had to deal with prejudice because I was on a well-known show. That is part of my life and I can never take it away. But we all have opportunities to do other things and this is not the only thing I have done, ”he indicated.
“I also have two degrees, one in sports nutrition and one in training systems, so I’m fit to train an elite athlete if given the opportunity. The thing is that when they made me this proposal I knew that this could happen. I always start from the premise that they don’t really know me.” he added.
“The truth is that just as I have received criticism, I have received many positive comments. And I stayed with the positive because I want to get the best out of experiences. I always turn a blind eye to negative comments, as long as they don’t affect my life, ”she commented.
Likewise, Lobos answered one of the main questions from Esteban Barriga, who criticized the fact that someone from Temuco had not been chosen for the position.
“Let’s see. Undoubtedly, there must be many capable professionals in the commune and perhaps you could have asked me the same question, but you have to ask that question to the people who elected me as the manager of the corporation. I presented a resume and a job proposal that have been well received, and that pointed to the guidelines that this corporation has. In that I fit perfectly. That was the plus that I gave to my application, ”she asserted.
It should be noted that The dancer came to live in Temuco with her family to join that corporation, a body other than the Department of Sports, as clarified from the municipality.
In 2016, Yamna Lobos was a candidate for councilor for the Progressive Party for the commune of Macul, a community to which the current mayor Roberto Neira belonged.
