Jakarta –
Simultaneously with the launch of the latest Yamaha YZF-R3, Yamaha Europe also introduced the 2025 version of the Yamaha YZF-R9. The latest Yamaha YZF-R9 is equipped with a more fierce face design with additional winglets.
Quoted from the official website, the 2025 Yamaha YZF-R9 has an 890 cc, 3 cylinder, CP3, DOHC engine, with supersport motorbike-style performance, which is suitable for use on circuits and on the road. Unfortunately, there is no mention of the power and torque output of this new Yamaha sport fairing motorbike.

If you look at the engine used by the MT-09 naked bike model, the crossplane engine can produce a power output of 120 hp and torque of around 85.4 Nm. But the hope is that the 2025 Yamaha YZF-R9 engine will have greater power and torque output than the MT-09.
Then the frame uses aluminum with deltabox architecture, which is light but sturdy. The frame is supported by an upside down suspension alert from the KYB brand with high specifications and 50/50 weight distribution.
In terms of electronics, the Yamaha YZF-R9 2025 is equipped with a 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), with electronic features including Traction Control System or TCS, three-mode Slide Control System (SCS), three-mode Lift Control System (LIF ), as well as the Brake Control System (BC).
Talking about design, the 2025 version of the Yamaha YZF-R9 has a sporty appearance typical of the R-Series family. The headlights use projector LEDs with a lamp housing shaped like the letter ‘M’. On both sides there are LED DRL lights which are shaped like eyebrows. Furthermore, the turn signal lights are integrated with the rearview mirror, so it is more minimalist.
Another new detail on the 2025 YZF-R9 is the addition of winglets that are integrated with the fascia and wing section. Not only does it add a sporty impression, the winglets also function as an aerodynamic system which is of course very useful on the circuit track.
The 2025 Yamaha YZF-R9 is priced at around USD 12,499 or the equivalent of IDR 194.7 million. Apart from blue, this motorbike is also offered in black and white.
