A Look Back

Last season, the Bulldogs finished with an overall record of 17-23 with a 10-11 mark in the Ivy League. The Elis placed fifth in the conference standings, just missing out on the final spot in the inaugural Ivy League Tournament. This year, Yale was picked to once again finish fifth in the preseason poll.

Key Returners

The Bulldogs graduated seven seniors from last year’s team, but return a strong crop on impact players. Senior captain Reid Easterly will lead a strong rotation as he attempts to replicate his success from last year. Easterly, a first team All-Ivy League selection, posted a 2.93 ERA and six wins in 2023. Junior Colton Shaw will also be a mainstay in the Bulldogs’ rotation after earning all-conference accolades last season. Sophomore Davis Hanson will slot into the top of the batting order for Yale after leading the team with a .290 batting average in 2023. Jeff Pierantoni, Jake Williams and Alec Atkinson will also be major factors in the lineup.

New Faces

Yale will rely on a strong class of first years who will look to make an impact at the plate and on the mound. Garrett Larsen, Chace Chaplin, Colin Sloan, Ben Winslow, Chris DiPrima, Amir Eltaki, Kaiden Dossa, Pablo Rodriguez and Teo Spadaccini join the Bulldogs for the 2024 campaign.
