Yacyretá provided medical care to residents of Laureles and Cerrito

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Yacyretá Binational Entity (EBY), through the Mobile Health Unit, brought medical care to residents of the districts of Laureles and Cerrito, in the department of Ñeembucú.

The medical days began in Laureles, with the attendance of a large number of people who were able to access consultations in the areas of ophthalmology, dentistry and gynecology, which included the free provision of medicines and prescription glasses.

On this occasion, the EBY also delivered 800 food kits to the most vulnerable families, as part of the National Government’s assistance to those affected by the inclement weather recorded weeks ago.

In Cerrito

Later, the EBY Mobile Health Unit was installed in Cerrito, specifically in the Municipality premises, responding to a request made by Mayor Hugo Ayala and Deputy Fabiana Souto de Alliana.

As in Laureles, medical professionals provided ophthalmology, dentistry and gynecology care, with the distribution of medications and glasses, reported the Binational.

Cerrito municipal official Prisciliano Viveros thanked the residents of the area for their assistance, as most of the time they cannot access an ophthalmology or dentistry consultation, either due to distance or cost. He indicated that the provision of glasses means a substantial improvement in the quality of life of patients.
