Poet Do Hee-seo, who first raised the allegation of plagiarism by Yoo Hee-yeol last month, mentioned that at the time of the previous controversy, It Music Creative conveyed its position in such a way that Ryuichi Sakamoto did not acknowledge Yoo Hee-yeol’s plagiarism.
Poet Doh Hee-seo said, “As the informant of this issue, I found the letter from Sakamoto that had a different nuance to the reply I received in January, so I checked the original English text, and the actual meaning was ‘I agree with the similarities, but to protect my copyright, I We confirmed that the message was not to the extent of taking action.”
He continued, “It turns out that from this time on, we have confirmed that an old fan of Yoo Hee-yeol has been boldly attempting to manipulate public opinion.”
According to the poet, the operator of It Music Creative is just an individual who runs Ryuichi Sakamoto’s fan club, and Ryuichi Sakamoto has not given It Music Creative the right to speak as an agent or represent Ryuichi Sakamoto in Korea. Everything is a prophecy.
Nevertheless, poet Do Hee-seo argued that It Music Creative’s operator was not only making statements as if he was Ryuichi Sakamoto’s representative in Korea, but also misleading public opinion through social media and media outlets.
Poet Doh Hee-seo said, “(The operator of It Music Creative) said, “(The operator of It Music Creative) will use his position to turn the public opinion in Yu Hee-yeol’s advantage because he is the It Music Creative operator and a real fan of Yoo Hee-yeol. “Fortunately, someone captured the article and moved it to an online community, and his deceptions were discovered.”
In addition, Poet Do Hee-seo released a reply from Ryuichi Sakamoto’s side, saying, “They (they) are just a fan organization that voluntarily supports Sakamoto, and Sakamoto does not give them any qualifications to speak on behalf of Sakamoto in Korea. It has never been given,” he reiterated.
In addition, Poet Do Hee-seo revealed that the position that Ryuichi Sakamoto sent to Yoo Hee-yeol was a private message, but Antenna Music released the press without obtaining Sakamoto’s permission. I warned Yoo Hee-yeol and It Music Creative not to do it.”
On the other hand, Yoo Hee-yeol was criticized for similarities between the second track ‘A Very Private Night’ of the ‘You Hee-yeol’s Life Music’ project and the song progress of Ryuichi Sakamoto’s ‘Aqua’, a master of Japanese film music. Yoo Hee-yeol admitted plagiarism and apologized, but the controversy has not subsided as eight more plagiarism allegations have been raised.
