Launched nine years ago but only started at the end of 2021 (following several administrative appeals), the new Annecy multiplex will open in Seynod / Val Semnoz on December 14. Megarama, Jean-Pierre Lemoine’s group, has invested 16 million euros (land included). The modern building with metallic corrugated cladding has nine rooms with 100 to 455 seats (1,480 seats in total) spread over two levels, including a 4DX, all equipped with the latest sound and visual reproduction technologies. Approximately 220 films will be screened per year, with four to five screenings per room per day. The managing director of Megarama Olivier Labarthe, who has recruited around ten people, is aiming for 350,000 annual admissions once cruising speed has been reached, within two to three years.
The Megarama group, 5e French operator with 330 cinemas (regarding thirty establishments) recording more than 6 million spectators, is also established in Spain and Morocco.
