A member of the Task Force of the New Territories South Regional Traffic Enforcement and Control Team was patrolling the Tuen Mun Highway at regarding 8:00 a.m. yesterday (June 1). Vehicles were frightened and scurried around from time to time, and the situation was very dangerous. Upon seeing this, the police immediately stopped and led the little lamb to a safer position on the shoulder of the road to prevent the little lamb from being hit by a vehicle and causing a traffic accident.
After the police officer’s patience to appease, the little lamb’s mood began to calm down and was no longer flustered. The police then carried the lamb into a police car and took it safely to the Fisheries and Conservation Department. The lost lamb was checked by a veterinarian and confirmed to be uninjured, and has been taken care of by staff of the AFCD. If members of the public have information on the Lost Lamb, please contact the New Territories North Animal Management Centre of the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department as soon as possible.
