A Xiaomi launched this Tuesday (23) the new Electric Scooter 4 and Scooter 4 Lite scooters, renewing the Chinese brand’s product portfolio aimed at urban mobility. Both vehicles were announced for the European market with initial availability in Italy and expected arrival in other countries in the coming weeks, but still no forecast.
They feature a modern design, rugged construction, and portability. The maximum speed of scooters is up to 20 km/h, which can be checked using a digital speedometer on the handlebars. This small display can also be used to display route information registered through the Xiaomi Home app.
The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 has a motor with 600W of power, managing to overcome obstacles with a slope of up to 16% and having autonomy for an average distance of 35 km thanks to the 275.4W battery. The Lite variant has a weaker engine with only 300W and a 187 Wh battery with autonomy for up to 20 km and can overcome up to 14% of slopes.
Scooters have three power modes, including a walking mode that maintains speed at 6 km/h. The scooters have a dual braking system including front E-ABS and rear disc brakes. The tires do not have a tube and the vehicles have position indicator lights on the handlebars.
The new Electric Scooters can be found costing €399.99 (~R$2,130) for the Lite variant and €499.99 (~R$2,670) for the common (and more powerful) version of the scooter.
