Xiaomi introduced Redmi 11 Prime and Prime 5G smartphones starting at $160

The Chinese company Xiaomi introduced mid-range smartphones Redmi 11 Prime and Redmi 11 Prime 5G, supporting fourth and fifth generation mobile networks, respectively. The devices are running the Android 12 operating system with the MIUI 13 add-on.

New items are equipped with a 6.58-inch Full HD + display with a resolution of 2408 × 1080 pixels, a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz, a touch layer response rate of 240 Hz and a brightness of up to 500 cd/m2. The Redmi 11 Prime model is equipped with a Helio G99 processor with eight cores (up to 2.2 GHz) and an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 accelerator. The Redmi 11 Prime 5G version received the Dimensity 700 chip, which has a similar architecture but also includes a 5G modem.

The rear camera of smartphones combines a 50-megapixel main module and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The 4G version has a third component – a 2-megapixel macro unit.

Other equipment is as follows: a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5.x adapters, a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an infrared transceiver. Power is provided by a 5000 mAh battery with support for 18W charging.

Smartphones will be available in versions with 4 and 6 GB of RAM and a flash drive with a capacity of 64 and 128 GB, respectively. Redmi 11 Prime starts at $160, Redmi 11 Prime 5G starts at $175.
